According to § 3 Abs.1 BRAO (Federal Lawyer Rules) lawyers are the independent consultants and representatives in all legal matters. These traditionally include the perception of process and legal representation, as well as the extrajudicial execution of reports, contracts and court settlements.

Because of today's ever-increasing density of legal standards in our society, I also stand by you in all other legal matters. The general need for legal advice and representation does not begin before the court or after emergence of a dispute, but at the outset of any business or legal relationship.
